Sunbird was born from a simple truth. Across cities, villages, and camps, young Palestinians are creating ideas, launching initiatives, and raising their voices — but many lack the long-term support to grow. We exist to bridge that gap.

Our story

The Sunbird Initiative was created to support the people already doing the work — those who understand their communities, speak their language, and share their future.

By investing in Palestinian-led media, research, and youth programs, we help ensure that real, meaningful change remains in the hands of the people driving it — not imposed from the outside.

As a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we operate with full transparency and direct our resources toward initiatives that are locally rooted, independently run, and built for lasting impact.
